Knocking out Parkinsons

parkinsons

In 1994, Craig Marks’ father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. At that time, Craig’s thriving physical therapy practice involved mostly sport’s medicine and functional skills development for athletes. Almost overnight, Craig’s focus changed. He began studying alternative therapeutic methods for treating Parkinson’s and other neurological illnesses and soon became a certified movement and balance specialist. Over fifteen years in the making, his KINESIO-ARTS TRAINING PROGRAM (C) is in high demand and now gaining much attention in the national and internatioonal media and Parkinson’s community.  Craig’s unique program was featured on The Michael J Fox Foundation web site and has been recognized by former United States Attorney General Janet Reno.  Currently, Craig is working with several neurologists at The Cleveland Clinic in Weston Florida conducting case studies with several of his active Parkinson’s and M.S. clients.

Craig, it was a blessing when I went back to Dr. Galvez last week and he told me about you and your special program for persons such as myself who live and struggle with Parkinson’s Disease every day. I’ve tried so many different types of physical therapy and alternative medicines over the past several years and I always had high hopes. Now, after only a few sessions with you, I see what all the excitement is about in the South Florida area, and in other parts of the United States, with you and your program. It’s like a gift. You’ve been blessed with a talent, patience and a gift and I can only hope you continue to touch other’s lives like you’ve touched mine. You’ve given me such confidence in myself and I’m now doing things that I’ve been afraid to do or couldn’t do in years! I’m walking again without constant help and my balance is so much better. It’s as if you’ve taken shackles off of me and set me free from myself. I cannot thank you enough. You are a remarkable and very special person. And, I know everyone else feels the same about you.

Let me tell you something. My mother had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease over 15 years ago. She is now 74 years of age. Over the past 3 years, her physical strength and balance and ability to just stand up have deteriorated. Her doctors had her going through alot of physical therapy, at home and at private clinics. The type of therapy and results were always the same, very little improvement. In May, my mother’s doctor, Dr. Galvez from The Cleveland Clinic recommended we go see Craig at his studio in Cooper City to see what he could do for her, if anything. I don’t know what it is or how he did it but my mom is now able to walk by herself, her strength has returned and her self confidence is so high right now. I’ve met so many other persons who have had similar experiences since working with Craig. He’s a gentleman, knows just how hard to push his special populations clients and knows more about this disease and the medications than anyone I’ve ever met. Craig, you were sent to us by a greater force and we cannot thank you enough. We love you.
